Terms & Conditions

 

By visiting Green Apron Kitchen’s website, registering for a class or booking an event, participating in an event, I (the “client”) acknowledge that I have carefully read, understand, and accept the terms and conditions.  Before a student may participate in any activity associated with Green Apron Kitchen, the student (or parent on behalf of the student) must agree to the terms of this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability:

By agreeing to this waiver, I acknowledge and agree to the following on behalf of myself or the minor student (the “Student”) named above:

Right to Waive: I have the right and ability to waive all rights and legal claims against Green Apron Kitchen, Ic., a New York corporation (the “Company”) and its affiliates on behalf of myself and the Student.

Risks Associated with Cooking Activities: I understand that although the Company prioritizes safety for its students, participation in the cooking classes and other activities hosted by the Company (the “Activities”) involves an inherent risk of injury and illness including but not limited to cuts, falls, burns, allergic reactions and other risks associated with preparing and consuming food. I further understand that the Activities may include food preparation, which will require the use of potentially dangerous kitchen equipment such as knives, electric mixers, blenders, gas or electric stoves, microwave ovens, conventional ovens, etc., and that other children or adults will be present during the Activities and working with the same equipment. I hereby elect to voluntarily participate or allow the Student to participate in said Activities. I assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury that the Student, my property or I may sustain as a result of being engaged in such Activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Company, it affiliates, officers, agents or employees or otherwise. I hereby acknowledge that I know of no medical reason why the Student or I should not participate in the Activities, including, but not limited to food allergies or sensitivities. In the event of emergency, I give my consent to the Company to provide medical care to the Student or me, as applicable, and to give authority to any emergency personnel to render immediate aid.

 

GENERAL RELEASE: IN CONSIDERATION OF BEING PERMITTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY, I, FOR MYSELF AND ON BEHALF OF THE STUDENT, HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS AND CAUSES OF ACTION OF ANY KIND OR NATURE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY, THAT I OR ANY OF MY PROPERTY MAY SUSTAIN RESULTING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES IN TORT, CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE. I further agree to indemnify and to hold the Releasees free and harmless from any loss, liability damage, cost, or expense which they may incur as a result of an injury that the Student or I may sustain while participating in the Activities.

 

Class Participation Policy

Classes are categorized as either drop-off, with caregiver or adult.  Unless specified, classes are – only your child will participate in the class. We must know who is authorized to pick-up your child from class.  A class listed includes one adult per child in the registration. No surprise visitors please class registration is per person unless specified otherwise. All menus are subject to change as we accommodate all allergies. 

               

No refunds are offered for camps,  classes,  or events. *if participant has a positive COVID test result, they can participate in the scheduled classes virtually. We will provide a zoom link. 

 

CAMPS:  If you cancel at least 14 days before a class you will receive a store credit.

CLASSES:  If you cancel at least 7 days before a class you will receive a store credit.  If you would like to switch into another class you must email the request to us with the class that you would like to switch into.  If you notify us that you cannot attend within seven days of a class, we cannot offer a class transfer or a store credit.

Occasionally, Green Apron Kitchen will have to reschedule or cancel a class. In these situations, you will be contacted at the phone number or email address provided to offer a full refund or store credit. We will do our best to transfer you to another day the class is being offered, or a similar class.

*All credits offered are redeemable for the same service originally booked. 

EVENTS:  All event deposits are non-refundable. If you need to move the event date after this time, a new deposit is required.

ALL confirmations of participants are due 4 day before the event and priced at that. ALL parties are 10 patricipants minimum. Additional charges apply for extra participants, as listed on the site.  Payment in full is due 48 hours before event, If more than confirmed participants take part in cooking event, additional payment is due before event is over.

 

Enrollment Policy

The highest priority of Green Apron Kitchen is the safety and well-being of students and staff. In the event that there is a situation or circumstance which, in the opinion of the Instructor, is not or suitable for the well-being of the students and staff, Green Apron Kitchen reserves the right to make decisions about enrollment and participation in classes and programs. 

 

Photography & Multi-Media Policy

By participating in classes and other events with Green Apron Kitchen, you agree that photographs and videos taken by Green Apron Kitchen agents during events are the property and exclusive copyright of Green Apron Kitchen and can be used for publicity purposes. You also agree and that no compensation will be given for the use of this media.

Photos of classes are not always taken for safety purposes. 

Privacy Policy

Green Apron Kitchen values its customers and respects their privacy. While we do gather certain personal information from our customers, we do not sell, rent or give your name, address or any other personal information to anyone except as specifically set forth in this Privacy Policy.

We may collect information about you on our website as you sign up for our email list and book and purchase classes, goods and other services with Green Apron Kitchen.  This information may include your name, email address, phone number, address, dietary preferences and restrictions, and credit and debit card information.  We capture this information to fulfill purchases and reservations and to communicate with you about upcoming events, workshops, promotions, news and contests.  Once subscribed, you may opt-out of our email updates at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism within the email or by contacting us directly.
